I started the Spoiled Rotten Pet Sitting LLC in 2004 because I wanted to work with animals and I saw that there was a desperate need for high quality pet care in the Gig Harbor area.  I always had such a hard time finding someone to care for my menagerie when I went out of town.  I didn’t want to ship them off in all different directions and most of my friends and family either didn’t know how to care for my pets or were afraid of them (I have snakes).  As a result, I usually had to just stay home with them.  I figured that there were lots of people out there who were having the same problems as me, and I was right!  Since starting Spoiled Rotten I have gained some great clients and met a lot of wonderful people and pets.  I love my job!

I have been obsessed with animals my whole life.  As a young child I always wanted to be a veterinarian but I have a weak stomach when it comes to surgeries, although I can give oral medications and injections without problems.  What I really wanted to do was play with pets all day long.  There was no such thing as pet sitting when I was growing up, so I had no idea that my dream would become a reality someday!  I have worked at two different pet stores and I was always put in charge of animal care.  I learned a lot taking care of all of the small animals, birds and reptiles.  I have also rescued and re-homed hundreds of animals from dogs and cats to ferrets and reptiles.  You name it, I’ve cared for it.  I have also done extensive research on exotic pets because I plan to start and exotic pet rescue someday.

I have been helping people understand their dogs through group training classes for over three years.  I believe that positive reinforcement is the best way to teach animals (and people) and that there is no need for force to get animals to do what you want.  My goal is to strengthen the bond between pets and their people through games and fun exercises that both parties enjoy.  To learn more about my dog training program click here.

All of my experience and expertise are passed on to my wonderful staff through continuing education programs.  I couldn’t do this without them and my clients who have supported me from day one.  Thank you!!
