Hi, I’m Mellissa, and I am so excited to be working with animals! Our family has always had cats and dogs while I was growing up, but it wasn’t until I had my own two mutts that I really appreciated how wonderful animals are. My husband and I adopted Shaggy and Emmy one month after we bought our house, because my husband just couldn’t live without dogs anymore. The day we met Shaggy and Emmy was one of the best days of my life. We knew it was meant to be when they got along with each other better than they did with any other dog. Being that Shaggy is a Pit Bull and Emmy is a Pit-Lab mix, they are full of energy and love to go camping, hiking, and swimming. They keep us very busy and very entertained.

My animal experience includes dogs, cats, hamsters, and horses. At one point my mom had 5 cats and 2 dogs! Between my parents and my in-laws, we own 9 dogs, 3 horses, and 2 cats, and I love playing with every one of them. To expand my knowledge of animals, I began volunteering at the Human Society in October. Getting to socialize the animals to increase their chances of adoption is very rewarding. I am very excited to be working for Sara and Spoiled Rotten Pet Sitting and can’t wait to meet your furry family members!
