Lindsey Beckle

Hi my name is Lindsey Beckle and I, like my sister, have been involved with pet care for many years. I have recently moved to Washington to pursue a career in Nursing. Moving here I had to give up having the chance to interact and take care of different types of animals. So when I discovered Sara’s desire to expand her pet sitting business, I was more than excited to have the opportunity to be around animals once again.

Like many of us here at Spoiled Rotten Pet Sitting, I grew up around just about any animal you can think of, with the exception of elephants and tigers. Growing up with a mother that has a love for animals bordering obsession, I had many experiences with animals from reptiles to dogs to livestock. My Mom was always the “neighborhood sitter” so as I got older I took over many of those jobs for her. Anything that needed to be cared for, we would do it. I grew up on the back of a horse. I started with a Welsh pony then moved to Arabians then I owned a Quarter Horse. I had the opportunity to care for my Quarter when he severely foundered a few years back. Being confined to his stall I had to walk him everyday, wrap his feet twice a day (which was a challenge since he didn’t exactly enjoy having his tender feet handled), and sleep on hay stacks beside him. I have also given injections to just about everything. The best Christmas present I ever got was receiving a Bernese Mountain Dog/ Border Collie from my parents when I was nine. We looked for the prefect dog for quite awhile but when I saw her staring up at me from behind the chain link at the Human Society, I knew I was meant for her. Since that day she was by my side every possible moment until I had to leave for college. I was able to take her to puppy classes where she passed with flying colors. After that I expanded on my new knowledge of training and taught her how to climb ladders, give high fives, and army crawl (she’s a very intelligent pup). She currently lives back in California with my parents, running around trying to herd the horses like she’s always enjoyed.

Growing up the way I did, I have a deep love for all animals, mine and yours alike. I currently live with my sister and my cat Jack who thinks he’s a dog. I have owned many animals growing up and they have all been a part of my family. I know most of us pet lovers have this in common so I can assure you that your animals will be treated with the love and attention they deserve. I can’t wait to meet you and your four legged friends!
