Amy Hi, my name is Amy. I was born and raised in Southern California. I moved to Western Washington in 2004 with my two children. I have always had a deep passion for working with animals. When I was 17 I decided I wanted to be a veterinary assistant and started a course in animal science. I graduated with honors and I have been working with animals ever since. I have worked in shelters, kennels and veterinary offices for the past 11 years. I was also an animal control officer in California for many years where I took great pride in the job I did. I was a full time advocate for spaying and neutering and spent a lot of volunteer time assisting in low cost and free surgeries. Sick, injured and aggressive dogs have always been my specialty as I often worked in isolation departments for the facilities I?ve been employed at. My children have always grown up surrounded by many pets and we love it that way. I currently have a Chihuahua named Iri, 2 cats - Mr.Miagi and Prints, a White's Tree frog and a Goffin Cockatoo named Mr.G. I cant imagine my life without them, they definitely make it interesting and worth every minute. |
